Dimension 06 · Social listening

Mentions, sentiment, and share of conversation — across the channels your buyers live on.

Social signal is where category shifts show up first. The brands cited by users on X, LinkedIn, Reddit, and Substack today are the brands AI engines cite tomorrow. Supercurve tracks your share of conversation against competitors, surfaces sentiment trends, and flags emerging topics before they hit Google.

What it is

Social as a leading indicator for everything else.

Social listening is usually treated as a vanity metric — count the mentions, screenshot the testimonial, move on. The brands that compound treat it as an early-warning system: when your share of conversation starts shifting in your category, that's a signal that AI search visibility, organic traffic, and pipeline are going to follow within 60-90 days. Either upward or downward.

Supercurve tracks your mentions across X, LinkedIn, Reddit, Substack, and other channels relevant to founder-led startups, scores sentiment, and benchmarks share of conversation against your top competitors. The diagnostic shows where your brand stands today; Growth and above track movement so you spot category shifts before they affect your other dimensions.

FAQ

Common questions about Social listening.

  • Is this a Hootsuite or Sprinklr replacement?

No — Hootsuite and Sprinklr are publishing + workflow tools. Supercurve doesn't publish for you (we integrate with Buffer for that on Growth and above). Supercurve is the *listening* and *measurement* layer: who's talking about you, what they're saying, how that's moving against your category.

  • Which channels do you track?

Reddit and LinkedIn by default. Other platforms aren't supported because their data access is restrictive and inconsistent. If your category lives on Discord or Slack communities, Done-for-you can build custom tracking.

  • How do you handle false positives in mention detection?

Brand-name disambiguation is its own problem — 'Supercurve' overlaps with mathematical and photography meanings. The system learns your brand entity over time using context signals (does the mention appear near your category words? near your competitors?) and confidence scores. You can also flag false positives manually and the model adjusts.
